Communication
have changed over the last 100 years from not being able to communicate from
computers you can now do everything up to video calling, and the internet is
now even faster, has more to research on it. However using the internet does
come with bad effects towards your Social life, using the internet can impact
you communication skills in face to face encounters, also when it comes to
research or doing class work or college work, you have to be careful you don’t
copy someone work off sites like Wikipedia, because it will most likely be copyrighted,
so if you were to copy it without a reference you can have the work appealed
for plagiarism and then will be deleted.
Communication
10 years ago was nowhere as near advanced not as it is now as it was in the
year 2000 that doesn’t feel that long, there has been a huge increase of people
using the internet, the internet grew so popular people knew that making other
ways of sending messages and communicating people, also online banking by using
sites like Llyods TSB, Natwest. A software called Skype makes free calls to one
another but can also use webcam, which yes it has its advantages like you can
speak to others in other countries, however it makes you your social
communicating, and body language.
Over the
years there has been new ways of communicating things like, Facebook, Skype iPhone
face time , however these things comes at a price but some can are free, Also
there’s text communication being what’s App and Black berry messenger all these
apps allow people to call, text and send pictures, video’s, songs. These app’s allow
this all to happen from a single hand held device make the need fax and letter
or emails not need so much as you can do it all from your phone you can even
email from your phone and collect your emails on your phone.
With the
development of the internet you can now get on your online banking where you
can see your balance and paying bills also the ability of transferring money to
someone else’s account. However online banking can be hugely dangerous if not
used correctly, it can lead to things like Identify theft, loss of money
(theft). When you are going to be paying for something online you will want to
look for in the Https (s) for ‘secure’
However some
sites on the internet can give you viruses, some viruses are harmless and
pointless, they change tool bars and are ineffective, but some viruses can
completely ruining your Computer or Laptop, by giving you a corrupted hard
drive, blue screen of death, in 2013-2014 there has been a program which you
can get by downloading and opening the file, called a
RAT file,
this gives the hacker ability to look through your webcam, control your
computer and do whatever you can. all from the safety of their house. And you
can’t delete the file, the only way to get rid of a virus is to get a new
Hard-drive or restore your computer to an earlier date, some computers now have
a factory reset which will delete all data and get rid of any virus.
Some people
use the internet for booking holidays online, this gives people the ability to
book a holiday and not have to go to town to get a log book or book the
holiday, people find it much easier, Also on the internet you can compare sites
to see what gives you a better deal, however if it’s too good to be true, then
it’s probably fake, because of people who scam people. This has become a
popular way to make unfair, cheap money. However now protection towards
scamming has become a lot safer, due to software that can track a user IP
address.
Cyber
bullying, people getting bullied for whatever reason, over sites like,
Facebook, YouTube, Ask.fm and also over phones on apps like instagram. Cyber
bullying has been going on for a while, since Facebook was pretty much created
actions have been taking towards it, for example the police are making sites
for cyber bullying for schools, people can post an anonymous complaint about
the person bullying people.
